2016 WBI Championship Game Will Feature Louisiana and Weber State

Louisiana and Weber State Advance to 2016 WBI Championship

MILWAUKEE, WI The Ragin’ Cajuns of Louisiana will look to make WBI history on Saturday (Mar. 26) when they host Weber State in the 2016 WBI Championship game. Louisiana is looking to become the first two-time winner of the event and is also hoping for back-to-back titles. Weber State will be playing for the title in its first WBI appearance.

Louisiana advanced to Saturday’s 4 p.m. final thanks to a 69-49 victory over Youngstown State on Wednesday. Three different players scored in double figures for the Cajuns who improved to 24-10 on the season. Youngstown State ended its 2015-16 campaign with a 21-13 record.

Weber State claimed a 79-53 victory over visiting USC Upstate on Wednesday to complete its run to the championship game. The Wildcats will bring a 23-11 record into the matchup with the Ragin’ Cajuns while USC Upstate completed its season with a 22-13 record.
